R&B singer and New York native Ashanti performed the national anthem before Game 4 and Paul O’Neill threw the ceremonial first pitch to A. J. Burnett. Luis Gil was the starting pitcher in Game 4 for the Yankees. https://hotellahasienda.com/gallery/ The Dodgers employed a bullpen game with Ben Casparius as the opener.
MLB International provided television coverage outside of the United States, using feeds remotely produced by MLB Network. Dave Flemming (play-by-play) and Ryan Spilborghs (color commentator) were the English-language commentators. Univision aired Game 1 in Spanish for its first World Series telecast, after its sister network UniMás carried both the ALDS and ALCS in their entirety.
Game 1 featured starting pitchers Jack Flaherty for the Dodgers and Gerrit Cole for the Yankees. Country singer Brad Paisley performed “The Star-Spangled Banner”. In tribute to Fernando Valenzuela, his former Dodger teammates Orel Hershiser and Steve Yeager placed a ball on the blue No. 34 painted on the pitcher’s mound instead of throwing out a ceremonial first pitch.

Learning curve? Id say Dota and League are up there. football though.. It definitely requires a lot of muscle memory, spatial awareness, coordination and good physical conditioning to be able to play at a decent level, plus there are a lot of strategies you can learn to catch adversaries by surprise.. yeah I can see football as being one of the hardest, not THE hardest though.

The case could be made for really any of the Dark Souls games or even predecessor Demon’s Souls to be on this list but we’re going with the first Dark Souls as it’s largely responsible for starting the trend that other titles like Nioh have tried to latch onto in recent years. While other game developers go out of their way to make sure players do not get too frustrated, FromSoftware takes the opposite path. Dark Souls is a game that revels in your screams and laughs at your tears. There is simply no amount of leveling up that will save you if you don’t know how to “get good.”
One bad move and it’s all over. Super Meat Boy is an excellent twitch platformer with tight controls and 300 levels designed to make your blood pressure rise. There are a frighteningly large number of spikes, whirring blades, and swords that can turn you into mince meat at a moment’s notice, sending you all the way back to the start of the level.
I Wanna Be The Boshy is actually a fan game or tribute to I Wanna Be the Guy, created by Danish game developer Jesper “Solgryn Erlandsen. Both titles are tributes and/or parodies of well-known franchises like Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog but you know Boshy is hard because it was created for fans who thought I Wanna Be the Guy was too easy. Like its predecessor, Boshy features some very unorthodox level design and has become a major hit in the speedrunning community.
The first two stages of this NES game are arguably not that difficult, but you’ll soon discover that Battletoads is just trying to lull you into a false sense of security before it wallops you over the head. Two words: Motorcycle. Speeder. Hop aboard and watch your dreams of finishing this game turn to ash. Even if by some combination of luck and reflex speed you manage to complete the level, it’s only going to get more difficult from there. From pigs to snakes to the God-forsaken ice cavern, there’s only what seems like a million and one different ways to die in this game.

Thirty-six years after a gimpy Kirk Gibson limped to the plate to smack a Game 1 walk-off homer, Freddie Freeman came to the plate on a badly injured right ankle with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th and belted the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history to send the Dodgers to an electrifying 6-3 victory over the Yankees on Friday night at a sold-out Dodger Stadium.
In 1994, each league was restructured into three divisions, with the three division winners and the newly introduced wild card winner advancing to a best-of-five playoff round (the “division series”), the National League Division Series (NLDS) and American League Division Series (ALDS). The team with the best league record is matched against the wild card team unless they are in the same division, in which case, the team with the second-best record plays against the wild card winner.
Though it had been a long time since these baseball behemoths last met on this stage, the Dodgers and Yankees, facing each other for the 12th time, are the most common World Series opponents. These are the clubs that staged the first Subway Series, back when the Bronx Bombers defeated “Dem Bums” from Brooklyn mere months before the U.S. entered World War II. These are the franchises that battled each other while the Bronx was burning and Reggie Jackson was taking on the “Mr. October” moniker. These are the teams that last coexisted in the Fall Classic in 1981, when the Dodgers’ rotation was led by a rookie phenom named Fernando Valenzuela.
Gambling and game-fixing had been a problem in professional baseball from the beginning; star pitcher Jim Devlin was banned for life in 1877 when the National League was just two years old. Baseball’s gambling problems came to a head in 1919, when eight players of the Chicago White Sox were alleged to have conspired to throw the 1919 World Series.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto never had that prolonged slip. He gave up a solo home run to Juan Soto, just as Rodón did to Tommy Edman, but he never had another bad stretch on which the Yankees could capitalize. Blake Treinen nearly did, but New York’s inferior lineup depth denied them the ability to seize their opportunity the way Los Angeles had.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto gave manager Dave Roberts a huge gift tonight with this strong start. Yamamoto has thrown 80 pitches through six innings and has only surrendered one hit, a solo homer to Juan Soto.
Buehler has made two postseason starts for the Dodgers this fall, both on the road. He took a loss in San Diego on Oct. 8 after giving up six runs in the second inning of his five-inning start, but he rebounded to throw four scoreless innings with six strikeouts against the Mets in Game 3 of the NLCS on Oct. 16.
In all best-of-seven postseason series, teams taking a 3-0 lead have gone on to win the series 39 of 40 times (98%), including 31 sweeps. Just two teams down 3-0 have even forced a Game 7: the 2020 Astros, who lost to the Rays in the ALCS, and the 2004 Red Sox, who beat the Yankees in the ALCS. The last team to force a Game 5 when down 3-0 in a World Series was the Reds in 1970 against the Orioles.
Palmer established himself as one of baseball’s best pitchers over the next two decades, and he was a part of Baltimore’s World Series-winning teams in 1966, 1970 and 1983. He hurled a no-hitter against Oakland in 1969, and never gave up a grand slam despite pitching more than 3,900 innings.
